Ellen B. Wheeler
Ellen grew up in Athens, Georgia and has lived in Toccoa for the past twenty-five years. She attended college at Samford University and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies. Ellen has been a litigation paralegal for over thirty years working in all areas of litigation with a concentration for the past twenty years in all aspects of family law. Ellen works diligently to assist in the detailed fact-finding process of a custody case which enables the client and attorney to be successful with a positive outcome. Ellen is committed to helping people as they navigate their way through challenging life changes.
In the past, Ellen has worked with several prominent law firms and attorneys including Sanders, Ranck, and Skilling and Blasingame, Burch, Garrard, and Bryant. She also has done legal contract work through her own paralegal business with many fine attorneys including, Ann Pickett, Tricia Hise, Allyn Stockton, and Nina Svoren and Judge Russell Smith
In her free time, Ellen enjoys writing, traveling, and spending time with her fun-loving husband Bill, and their spunky children.
Mandy Stephens
Mandy Stephens has been in the legal field for over a decade. She has an incredible résumé working for power houses like Susan Brown and Joshua Welch. Mandy brings a wealth of knowledge to our family law practice. She also ran her own childcare business for many years and was a very successful entrepreneur. Mandy brings her love for children to our family law practice. The best interest of the child is always paramount. Being a mother and professional childcare provider, she understands firsthand how parenting plan and custody agreements must grow with the child as they age. It is crucial for parents to work together to ensure a positive co-parenting relationship is fostered in every child custody case. Mandy is also local to Hall County, Georgia. Alexis Dobbs
Alexis Dobbs grew up in Jackson County, Georgia. She attended East Jackson Comprehensive High School. Alexis is a certified paralegal and entered the family law arena 4 years ago. Alexis is the mother of 3 beautiful children. Alexis loves family and brings her love of children to the practice of law. She enjoys shopping, music, and spending time with her sweet babies.
Alexis aspires to eventually go to law school and would love to practice family law. Alexis handles all client intake and the scheduling of new client appointments. She also handles the challenging task of document collection, redaction, organization for discovery. Alexis loves digging into the meat and potatoes of a case when she conducts discovery responses.
